Watts Wheels: Aussie Wheel Gear to Make Your Rig Pop

Let's be honest. Plenty of us spend big on paint and chrome, then park up with rusty wheel nuts and a tired old hubcap. It's like wearing a flash suit with gumboots. We've all done it. Some of us still are.

Your wheels are one of the first things people notice. Get them right and the whole truck lifts. That's why we bring in gear from Watts Wheels.

Who are Watts Wheels?

Watts Wheels are a big Aussie supplier based in Brisbane. They've been in the truck parts game for over 25 years. Their gear suits European, Japanese and American trucks.

We stock their gear for one reason. It's good gear. Simple as that.

Aussie and Kiwi truckies run a lot of the same trucks on a lot of the same rough roads. So gear that does the job over the ditch tends to do the job here too.

Nut covers – small job, big difference

Nut covers are one of the easiest ways to smarten up your wheels. They cover the wheel nuts, help keep the muck off, and make the wheel look finished.

Watts do them in chrome, stainless steel and chrome plastic. There's a heap of sizes and styles, from flat tops to top hats.

Quick tip. Check your nut size before you order. A lot of nut cover mix-ups come down to the wrong size. We're not pointing fingers. We've done it too.

Hubcaps and axle covers

A clean hubcap finishes the job. Watts have chrome and stainless steel hubcaps, plus axle covers and kits for your steer and drive wheels.

Chrome gives you the full shine. Stainless is a bit more low-key. Both look the part. Running a classic? A set of shiny hubcaps is a great way to finish off a rebuild. It's the last piece of the puzzle.

It comes down to the look you're after and how much time you want to spend with the polishing cloth.

Wheel simulators

Got steel wheels that are looking a bit rough? Wheel simulators fit over the top and give you that polished look without swapping out the wheels.

The Watts range goes from 15 inch right up to 22.5 inch. So there's options for smaller trucks and buses, all the way up to the big rigs.

They're a good one for fleets too. A row of trucks with matching simulators looks sharp in the yard. Out on the road, it tells people you take pride in your gear.

Getting the right fit matters. Wheel size, offset and stud count all come into it. If you're not sure, give us a call. We'd rather spend five minutes on the phone with you than have you send it back.

Air horns and the rest

It's not just wheels. Watts also do air horns, valve extensions, mudflaps, mirrors and more.

Air horns are half the fun of owning a truck. Just maybe not at 5am outside the depot. Your neighbours will thank you.

Getting it right the first time

Here's how to save yourself a headache:

  • Measure first. Nut size, hub size and wheel size.
  • Know your truck. Make, model, and whether it's for the steer or drive wheels.
  • Take a photo. If you're stuck, send us a pic and we'll help you work it out.
  • Ask us. That's what we're here for.

We've spent a lifetime around trucks. We know what fits and what doesn't, and we'll tell you straight. No guessing, no BS.

Want to sort your wheels out? Give us a call on 07 575 7920, drop us an email at sales(at)truck.co.nz, or come see the range at 2 McDonald St, Mt Maunganui.

Pride in your ride.
